Why a Coach?
Coaching is an art as well as a science. A good coach knows how to help an athlete reach deeper than they thought possible and find their best. A teacher, psychologist, drill sergent and cheerleader rolled into one, a coach can make all the difference on race day.
Why Coach Jo?
For me, coaching is all about the relationship. It starts with the first phone call and grows through the highs and lows of training and racing. I know the challenges you face finding the time (and some-times the motivation) to train while juggling a family, home, and work. I will help you achieve your best and feel good about what you have to offer.
I also know the power of the coach/athlete relationship and seek to build that with each of my athletes. (see testimonials)
As a result, I have chosen to work with athletes within 50 miles of my home in Canaan, NY. That way I can see you run, watch your stroke in the pool, ride the hills with you on the bike and cheer you across the finish line. Email, video clips, and on-line coaching are useful tools, but they can't replace in-person interaction and communication.

Join with like-minded women for an experience that just may change your life. You will gain the skills, confidence, and stamina to complete your first triathlon. If you already have a few races under
your belt, this program will help you becomes
a stronger, faster, and smarter triathlete.
Group workouts are Tuesday 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8-9:30 a.m. Indoor swim practice is at the Girls Club in Pittsfield. Once the water warms up we will swim at Queechy Lake, the Stockbridge Bowl and other local lakes. Running and biking will occur throughout Columbia and Berkshire counties. A detailed weekly training plan is provided .

Individualized coaching is an investment in yourself. Make your training count and see the results on race day. A personalized weekly
training plan is developed based on your goals, training background and various threshold tests. Your program also includes two 45 minute
coached workouts per month, unlimited email support, bi-weekly phone check-ins, and participation in any group workout.
$200/month - 3 month minimum
